Hester, an esteemed citizen of Grady county, passed away at his home 7 miles north of Cairo last Tuesday morning, February 4th, at 7 o'clock, following an illness of several days. A complication of troubles, from which he had suffered for some time, caused his death. He was slightly more than 70 years of age. He was married to Miss Addie Bell Moore on December 12th, 1888, and to this union four children were born, two of whom survive. The funeral and interment were at Long Branch, one mile north of Cairo on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, with Elder Josh Davis in charge. Surviving, besides his two children, Mr. Anderson Hester and Mrs. Paul Bond, of this county, are three sisters: Mrs. Sallie Cone, of Meigs, Mrs. Mary Collins, of Bonifay, Fla., and Mrs. Malinda Jordan, of Moultrie.
