Funeral services were held Monday, January 12, 1992 at 3 o'clock p.m. at Pine Level Baptist Church in Cairo with Rev. Alan Karr and Rev. Ron Thompson officiating. Interment followed in Pine Level Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Dekle was born in Pelham, Georgia on September 14, 1930 to the late Oeda Bowles and Forest Lee Dekle. He was retired from the U. S. Navy and after retirement from the Navy, he was employed for several years by the Grady County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Dekle was a member of the Hasan Temple, was a member and past Post Commander of the American Legion Post 122 and a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mack Steven and Tracey Dekle, Cairo; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Howard (Moe) Mosher, Cupertino, California and Janet and Ken Ansley of Cairo; grandchildren, Eric and Ryan Mosher, Robbie Ansley and Joseph W. A. Dekle; three sisters, Mrs. P. D. (Jewell) Gilliard, Cairo, Mrs. Hurschel (Annie Mae) Harrison, Whigham, and Mrs. Edison (Ione) Cliett, Cairo; several nieces and nephews.
