The Cairo Messenger, September 16, 1987
Mr. Leo B. Miller, 76, passed away September 12, 1987, at Grady General 
Hospital in Cairo.

Funeral services for Mr. Miller were held Monday, September 14, at 3 p.m. at 
Pine Level Baptist Church with Rev. H. L. Brinkley, Rev. A. C. Gilliard and 
Rev. Herman Williams officiating.  Interment followed at Pine Level Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Dexter Harrison, Roger Godwin, Ladon Sellers, Billy Joe 
Harvey, Reggie Norton and Duane Davis.

Mr. Miller was born in Grady County, Georgia, on April 15, 1911, to the late 
William Reacy and Susie Taylor Miller.  He married the former Dartha Norton on 
September 11, 1929.  Mr. Miller spent his lifetime in this county working a 
farm and was a member of the Pine Level Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dartha Norton Miller, Cairo; three sons, Ronald J. 
Miller, Junction City, Kansas, Joe B. Miller, Thomasville, and Jessie Miller, 
Cairo; three daughters, Janette M. Thompson, Cairo, Sammie M. Harrington, 
Miami, Fla., and Gloria Jean Eglinton, Orlando, Fla; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtice 
Burnum, Lake Alfred, Fla., Mrs. Bernice Powers, Eustis, Fla., Mrs. Doris Davis, 
Avon Park, Fla. and Mrs. Imogene Barrett, Cairo; one brother, Lon Miller of 
Winter Park, Fla.; eleven grandchildren, Mack Thompson, Wanda Hurst, Michael 
Harrington, Michael Glen Miller, Sheila Jones, Joey Miller, Jeffrey Miller, 
April Miller, Mance Miller, Kaye Miller and Toby Miller and six great 
grandchildren.

Clark Funeral Home of Cairo was in charge of the arrangements.
