Cox White, 85 passed away at the Presbyterian Home, Quitman, Monday March 11, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Tues- day, March 12, 1968, at Bold Springs Methodist Church with Rev. Leo Y. Lewis, Rev. Charles Bishop and Rev. Kenneth Cloud officiating. Interment was in Bold Springs Cemetery with Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Gene Hall, Wil- liam R. White, William E. King, Jackie Smith, and John R. Grin- er. The daughter of W. F. and Mary White Cox, she was born in Grady County, March 14, 1882. She became the wife of Robert Sterling White in Grady coun- ty in 1903. Mr. White passed away October 26, 1954. Mrs. White was a member of Mideway Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lydia Griner, Grady County, Mrs. Callie Mae Halstead, Bain- bridge, three sons, W. R. White Thomas County, O. L. White, Mer- rit Island, Fla. and D. W. White of Attalla, Ala. ten grandchild- ren, 16 great grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Callie Chason, Mrs. Anna Dixon, both of Cairo, Mrs. Oneida Lavender, Michigan.
