Gainey. Passed Away Sunday In Jacksonville Funeral services for Mr. Jam- es Hollie Gainey who passed a- way Sunday, March 10, were held Tuesday March 12 at Clark Chap- el with Rev. Max Kelly and Rev. John Gasaway officiating. Mr. Gainey passed away at the resi- dense of his daughter, Mrs. Susan Northcut in Jacksonville, follow- ing a lengthy illness. Interment was in Gainey Ce- metery, Grady County, with Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were hhis nephews, Chesley Rehberg, Durant Gainey, Robert Lane Gainey, Wendell Gainey, Horace Gainey, Heward Gainey. Born in Grady County, October 7, 1884, he was the son of Ro- bert Haywood and Tomzil Max- well Gainey. He married the for- mer Miss Annie Kincaid January 1, 1914. They lived near Climax until 1964 when he moved to Jacksonville. Mr. Gainey was a member of the Springfield Chur- of Christ in Jacksonville. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie K. Gainey of Jacksonville; three sons, Owen K. Gainey of Tallahassee, David A. Gainey of Opaocka, Fla. Redmond R. Gainey of Macon; one daughter, Mrs. Susan Northcut of Jackson- ville; one brother Cullen Gain- ey of Cairo; three sisters, Mrs. Molissie Gainey, Miss Mary Liz- zie Gainey, Mrs. Effie Reherg all of Cairo; and 12 granchild- ren.
