VERCIE GILLIARD
 
   Mrs. Vercie Anderson Gilliard, 88, of 3658 Lake Pleasant Church Rd., 
Camilla, Ga., passed away at March 15, 2003, at Mitchell County Hospital, 
Camilla. Mrs. Gilliard was born Oct. 29, 1914, in Grady County, Ga., to the 
late Samuel Anderson and Rosetta Tilley.  She was a dedicated homemaker and a 
member of the Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church.
   Services were held Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at 11 a.m., at Union Hill 
Primitive Baptist Church, with the Revs. A.C. Gilliard and Max Childs 
officiating. Interment followed at Union Hill Cemetery.
   Pallbearers included Henry J. Rackley, Randy Gilliard, Mickey Gray, Roman 
Gilliard and Ron Gilliard.
   Survivors include sons, Billy Gilliard and Bobby Gilliard, both of Camilla; 
a sister, Evelyn Gilliard, Camilla; five grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren. Mrs. Gilliard was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene 
Gilliard.
   Timmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
