Eugene Miller and Rev. William Cain in charge of the services. Burial followed in the Mace- donia Baptist Church cemetery, with his nephews serving as pallbearers. Mr. Spence was born in this county on Sept.14, 1876. He was a member of the Macedonia Church and a retired farmer. He was the son of the late Green and Katherine Brinson Spence. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie McKown Spence and two sons, Lucious Spence of Thomasville and Paul H. Spence of Moultrie; one daughter, Miss Lucy Spence of Pelham; four brothers, Horace, Curtis and Blu- ford Spence of Pelham and Rus- sell Spence of Largo, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Groover Hair of Tifton, Mrs. Hattie Lou Barfield of Meigs; Mrs. John Harvey of Cairo and Mrs. Leonard Register of Cerrogordo, N.
