The last rites were at Trinity church and cemetery, near Whigham, with Elder L. Z. Folmer, of Pelham, in charge. Active pall bearers were R. E. Cox, Cuy Harrell, Lonnie Harrison, Albert King, W. C. Lane, Virgil Nazworth, M. J. Perkins and C. B. Trulock. An honorary escort was formed by Dr. M. W. Dykes, Mayor of Whigham, Turner Harrell, Marvin and Charles Jones, B. W. Lasseter, T. J. Mills, M. G. Patterson, J. S. Shoemaker and W. P. Vickers, of Whigham, and Arnold Duncan, of Thomasville. Mr. Hudson, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hudson, was born in Florida, but located in Whigham when a young man and was prominently identified with affairs in this section for four decades. Of the Promitive Baptist faith, he was a man of rugged honesty and high principles and his life leaves many fruits to be shared by a large number of relatives and friends. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Mary Elizabeth Lodge, five daughters, Mrs. J. E. Harden, wife of a prominent Whigham physician, Misses Nettie and Mary Hudson, Whigham, Mrs. H. A. Teel, Hogansville, Ga., and Mrs. Carlos Cone, Cairo; a son, E. E. Hudson, whigham, and three grandchildren.
