Robinson Dies In Thomasville Mr. Charles Marion Robinson died Sunday afternoon at about one o'clock after an illness extending over a period of several years. For some months, he has been confined to his home with an attack of paralysis and hope for his life was despaired of for several days. The end came quietly and peacefully in the presence of members of his family. The funeral services were conducted this afternoon at four thirty being in charge of Rev. W. M. Harris. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: J. T. Culpepper, J. S. Montgomery, J. F. Parker, E. Chastain, R. G. Fleetwood and T. B. Chisholm. The interment took place in Laurel Hill cemetery. Mr. Robinson was born January ?, 1859 in Newton, Baker county. He moved to Thomasville about 1880 and on April 28th, 1886 was married to Miss Mattie Alderman of this county, who survives him together with two brothers, Mr. A. G. Robinson of Thomasville and Mr. J. R. Robinson of Macon. For many hears, Mr. Robinson was connected with the Coast Line as conductor and lived here during that period. He retired from the railroad fifteen years ago and since that time has been in the brokerage and insurance business in Thomasville. Perhaps no man is better known in this section than Chas. Robinson. He was one of those men whose character aptly fitted him to mix and mingle with his fellows on a plane of equality and friendship. Loyal to his friend, true to his trust and in all things generous and kind, he held strong friendships throughout this part of the State. The news of his death will come as a severe blow to many friends who, while they knew of his serious condition, still mourn the loss of a friend, and brother.
