H. Hester Is A Victim Of Paralysis; Interment At Mizpah Mrs. Elizabeth Hester, widow of the late Thomas H. Hester, one of Grady County's saintliest spirits and leading figure in one of this section's largest family connections, passed away last Friday night at 7 o'clock, after a lingering illness. She had been in failing health, but the immediate cause of her death was a stroke of paralysis which she suffered a week ago last Saturday. She was 63 years of age. The deceased before her marriage was Mrs. Susie Elizabeth Wilder. She joined the Primitive Baptist Church early in life and was ever faithful to her church vows, her membership at the time of her death being at New Hope. As a wife, mother and friend, she lived a most exemplary life. Her husband passed away in 1917. Funeral and interment were at Mizpah Church, northwest of Cairo, last Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, and a large number attended the service, which was in charge of Elder T. Josh Davis. The following were pallbearers; H. T. LeGette, W. L. Connell, J. W. Tuggle, A. T. Johnson, R. Johnson, Claude Owens and O. T. Stuart. The following brothers survive: Mitch, Berry H. and Jimmy Wilder, of this county; John Wilder, of Climax and Thomas Wilder, of Pelham. The following children survive: Henry Hester, prominent Cairo citizen and cashier of Cairo Banking Company, Lee Hester, this county, Mrs. C. E. Owens, this county, Hansel Hester, Ringgold, Ga., Mrs. J. W. Tuggle, Mrs. A. T. Johnson, William Hester, Mrs. Raymond Johnson of this county, and Robert E. Hester.
