She was the daughter of J. H. and Eudoxy Hudson and was married to Clayton Ulmer on March 18, 1894, and to this union was born ten children; six girls and four boys, all of who are living. Sister Ulmer, whose religious persuasion was of the Primitive Baptist, or Baptist of the Primitive faith and order rejoicing in and being contact with the glorious doctrine of God, our Saviour, according to the scriptures of divine inspiration, having been for some years a faithful member and deaconess of the church at Tired Creek, having been received and baptized into the fellowship of this church by Elder Wm. Hollingsworth, whereby a Godly work she manifested to all that the grace of God by which she was saved, taught her to deny that which was not Godly and the lust of this world and to live soberly, righteously and Godly in this present world. She was of a kind, loving disposition which she manifested to all in her community when in a needy or distressful condition. She was a faithful wife and companion to her husband, ready at all times to share in his sorrows as well as his joys, devoted and loving mother, and a friend to all. After a short illness, she departed this life November 3rd, 1919, and to us it may seem hard to give her up, but God seen fit to call her home from the cares of this life, and we should all bow in humble submission to Him for we have the sweet assurance that she died in the Lord whom, it is said, "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord." Then to the father, mother, husband, children and all who so keenly feel the deep stroke of Providence, we would say: "Weep not as those who have no hope, for it, we believe, that Christ died and was buried and arose again from the dead, them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him." Then we pray that God through the comforting influence of the Holy Spirit will give the sweet peace of reconciliation and make us all to feel that death is only the gateway to never ending joy and bliss, to all the blood washed throng. May God's blessings rest upon all those precious girls and may they live to emulate the life of such a noble mother. Submitted in love to you all, J. J.
