A. Williams, here last Monday morning about 7:30 o'clock. He was 18 years old last April. He was telegraph operator for the Atlantic Coast Line, stationed at Climax at the time of his death. Although he was not a member of any church, he lived an upright moral life, and professed Jesus Christ. He was very quiet in his disposition, but when he made friends, they were lasting friends. The funeral services were held at the local cemetery Tuesday afternoon at five o'clock. Rev. J. G. Christian, assisted by Dr. J. A. Wynne, conducted the service. The pall bearers were Robert Forrester, Weyman Bussey, Edwin Hurst, Walter Williams, Frank Massey and Carson Merritt. Besides his mother, he leaves two sisters: Mrs. Charlie Brown and Clara Williams of Cairo; and four brothers, Roland Williams of Cairo; Afton Williams of Tifton; Roy Williams of Climax and Denan Williams, of Acree, Ga.
