Walker, after a long illness, died at her home on Ochlocknee Street last Wednesday afternoon, April the 7th, about 3:00 o'clock. Mrs. Walker was among the oldest residents of Cairo, being 71 years of age. She was the widow of the late Casper Walker, who preceded her in death about ten years ago. She was a loyal member of the Methodist church and was a regular attendant upon all the services until the feebleness of old age kept her within her own domain. She has lived an upright Christian life. Although not demonstrative, it has been one of divine leadership. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment followed in the Bold Springs cemetery. Rev. T. E. Davenport conducted the services. To mourn her going away, she has left three sons and one daughter, they are: Rev. L. W. Walker of Folkston, C. F. and Walton Walker of Cairo and Mrs. C. A. Stevenson of Camilla.
