Cairo Messenger, October 17, 1919
The following marriage announcement appearing in the Albany Herald last Monday 
evening, will be read with much interest.  Mr. Ferrell is a Grady County boy 
and was formerly a member of the enterprising hardware firm of Wight Hardware 
Company of this city.   He moved to Albany several months ago where he 
established the firm of Ferrell-Wight Co.  The article follows:

A quiet marrage which occurred last night at 9 o'clock in the pastor's study at 
the First Baptist Church was that of Miss Susie Davis, of Valdosta, to Mr. L. 
R. Ferrell of this city.  Only a few intimate friends witnessed the ceremony 
which was performed by Dr. Lamar Sims.  The bride has for some time been 
connected with the Central of Georgia Railway as stenographer and has made many 
friends during her stay in Albany.  Mr. Ferrell is president and manager of 
Ferrell-Wight Co. of this city, having come here several months ago from Cairo, 
Ga.  Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell are making their home for the present at the St. 
Nicholas hotel.
