NC. He was a 1st settler of Greene Co. Ga. in that band of Rev. Soldiers who made this their home. He died in Greene before 4 Jan 1836. He was the son of James Armour b 1 1710 Ireland-d bef 1762 Mecklenburg Co. NC and Jeanette "Jean" Little d aft 1764 Grandson of Dr. Jerome Armour & Susan, great-grandson of William d Nanswmond Co Va. & Mary John and his brothers Andrew and James-also settlers of Greene- faught in NC and SC in the Rev. He married Martha before 1778 and had: Isabella 29 Mar 1779 d 29 Jun 1851 Greensboro, Greene, Ga. Buried in Greensboro City Cemetery married #1 26 May 1798 Henry Kennedy- Greene married #2 Charlie Miller 20 Aug 1804 Margaret born Jan 1780 married 9 Nov 1804 Greene? George W. Dillard He married #2 Nancy Caldwell 18 Nov 1788 She was born a 1770. they had: Cynthia H born 17 Oct 1789 Martha b a 1790 married Halcomb Gaines Harper - more Elizabeth "Betsy" married ___ Shaw to Morgan Co. Ga. John Mason? d 16 Aug 1800 Greene Cynthia who died 10 Feb 1841 Talbot Co. Ga. (Now Taylor) married Archibald Gray 7 Jan 1807 Greene Co. Ga. In 1809 Tax List- they were in Greene to 1827 Land Lottery- to Pike Co Ga where his Father James Gray-Rev. Sol. & Mother Mary Riley-lived. Bu 1829 they were in Crawford Co. Ga.and by 1836 Talbot Co. Ga. where they are both buried in what is now Taylor Co.- off US 19 going N in the Gray-Harris Cemetery.Children of this couple: Amanda E 1809-married Wm. M. In additon he was a wagon master employed in removing the public papers and records to safety when Provost advanced toward Charleston. He served as a horseman under Major Wales at Orangeburg from Feb to 8 Apr 1782. He served at Quarter House and Biggin Church and during 1782 was under General Henderson (at Edisto) .
