Samuel Winslett born a  1750 England died 1829 Wrightsboro, 
Greene, Ga

He married Mary Carson born 1754, who died Greene and was the 
child of Thomas Gibson  Carson & Margaret McDowell-also of Greene. 
Grandchild of Wm. Calvin Carson & Sarah Jane Ferguson of Ireland.

Samuel WINSLETT settled on 100 acres in the Quaker town of Wrightsboro, 
Ga in 1770. He was granted 287 acres on Shoulderbone creek in Washington 
county in 1784 (became part of Greene County when it was formed in 1786) 
and was listed as a lieutenant in the 2nd Greene County regiment in 1786. 
Samuel paid taxes on this land until he died in Greene, Co around 1828.
