For and in consideration of the sum of $800 dollars, hath granted & confirmed a certain mill seat containing 4 acres being on both sides of the North Fork of Ogechee including the stream with also the whole of the improvements thereon, consisting of a grist mill and saw mill, being part of a survey of 200 acres granted to the aforesaid Samuel Alexander by John Houston, Governor, bearing date of 13th January 1784 and half the aforesaid mill seat conveyed by Samuel Alexander to William Shetford and by William to Nathan O’Neal. Beginning at a small post oak on the South side of the said stream running thence N30E25 rod across the stream to a stake, thence N60W25 rods to a pine, thence S30W25 rods to a lightwood stump, thence S60E.
