1799, August 6---This Indenture made between Samuel Alexander of Warren County 
unto James Simmons of Hancock County.  For and in consideration of $200 conveys 
_____ acres in Wilkes County at the time of surveying, but at present, part in 
Wilkes and part in Hancock and part in Greene Counties, and on both sides of 
the North Fork of Ogechee, granted  to Samuel Alexander 20th of February, 1784, 
reserving to said Alexander the mill seat whereon the mill now stands, together 
with 4 acres of land for the mill seat, also the privilege of cutting timber 
for the purpose of repairing or rebuilding the mill.
