This Indenture made this Second day of January in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and Eighteen Between William Caldwell of the 
County of Greene and State of Georgia of the one part and John Wright of 
said County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that I the said 
William Coldwell for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred Dollars
 to me in hand paid by the said John Wright the Receipt whereof is hereby 
Acknowledged hath bargained and Sold & do by these presents Grant Bargain 
Sell and Confirm unto the sd John Wright all that Tract or parcel of land 
Situate 
lying and being in Greene County & State aforesaid on the waters of Richland 
Creek Beginning at a Stake and running thence South to a pine Corner thence 
North 80 East thirty five chaines to a hickory corner thence north ten west to 
a 
post oak corner thence to a gum corner thence to the Beginning Containing by 
Estimation forty three & three fourths acres the said Land bounded by Connels 
and Wallis’s Land And I the sd William Coldwell do hereby bind myself heirs 
& assigns unto the said John Wright his heirs &c to warrant and forever defend 
the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all and Singular its rights and 
appurtenances from all manner of person or persons to his & their only use & 
behoof in a right 
of fee simple forever.  In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the day 
and year first above written
