                             Caldwell to Hardeman

This Indenture made this Seventh day of November Eighteen Hundred and thirty 
one, Between William Caldwell of the State of Georgia Greene County of the one 
part and Thomas Hardeman of Putnam county & State aforesaid of the other part, 
Witnesseth, That I the Said William Caldwell for and in consideration of the 
Sum of fifty Dollars to me in hand paid by the Said Thomas Hardeman the 
Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath bargained and Sold and do by these 
Presents Grant bargain & sell unto the said Thomas Hardeman all my right Title 
Interest and claim, that I have or do hold to a certain Tract or parcel of 
land lying and being in Greene County & State aforesaid on the waters of 
Shoulderbone, Beginning at a Sweet gum Running North Seventy Six chains to a 
Black oak, thence west Thirty eight chains to a Red oak, Thence South Seventy 
Six chains to a Hickory on Jeters  line from thence to the beginning, 
containing by Estimation Two Hundred Eighty Seven & a half acres Bounded by 
Jeters,
Moore & Caldwell lands –
      In Witness whereof I have Set my hand and Seal the day & Year first 
above written.
