Greene County }  This Indenture made this the thirtieth day of March in the 
year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty between Samuel Caldwell 
of the one part and County aforesaid and Aziel Bruce of the same state and 
County of the other part  Witnesseth that I Samuel Caldwell for and in 
consideration of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid before the ensealing 
of these presents grant bargain and sell and Confirm unto sd. Aziel Bruce a 
certain Tract or parsell of land situate lying and being in Greene County and 
on the waters of Shoulderbone Containing sixty six and one forth acres be the 
same more or less beginning on the North by James Ransoms line on a sassafras 
& white oak thence along said Ransoms line E to a Black Oak the Corner Edwrd 
Alfield land thence the same course to a certain pine corner x thence South 
along said Bruce to a pine x near Bruces field thence nearly West to a poplar 
at the head of a branch thence down the meandors of said Branch to an ash in 
the old bounty line thence to the beginning x which land I the said Samuel 
Caldwell doth warrant and forever defend unto the said Aziel Bruce to him and 
his heirs forever in fee simple which land I the sd. Samuel Caldwell do 
warrant and forever defend with all the appurtenances thereunto from all and 
ever person or persons whatever in which I the said S. Caldwell do bind myself 
and my heirs forever in Witness whereunto I have set my hand and affixed my 
seal the day and year first above written and in presence of
