Caldwell To Richards

Greene County}  This Indenture made this Twenty Eighth day of June one 
thousand Eight hundred and thirty two between William Caldwell of the County 
and state of aforesaid of the one part & Jedidiah Richards on the other
     Witnesseth that the said William Caldwell for and in consideration of the 
sum of Five hundred Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath bargained & sold and by these presents doth bargain & sell 
unto the unto the said Jedidiah Richards all that tract or parcel of land 
situate lying & being in the County & state aforesaid on the Waters of the 
Beaverdam of Richland Creek adjoining land of Veazy Roberts Moore & others and 
runs as follows beginning at a pine & running North seventy eight degrees East 
Seventy four chains to a post oak thence North fifteen West Eighteen Chains & 
Eighty one links to a Black Oak thence North eighty five degrees West Nineteen 
Chains & seventy links to a post Oak thence north seventy Degrees and thirty 
minutes West twenty five chains & fifty links to a Red Oak thence North twenty 
five degrees East to stake on Underwoods line opposite the crop fence between 
me and Williams thence a straight line with the fence to Brooks line & thence 
with his line to the beginning containing three hundred and ten Acres more of 
less together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances unto 
the aforesaid tract of land belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said 
Land to have & to hold the said tract of land & all & singular premises & 
appertenances  thereunto belonging as aforesaid unto the said Jedidiah 
Richards his heirs & assigns to them and there own proper use & benefit & 
behoof and the said William Caldwell doth bind himself his heirs 
Administrators Executors and assigns to warrant and forever defend the said 
tract of land against the lawful claim or claims of any and every other person 
or persons whatsoever In Witness whereof the said William Caldwell hath 
hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above 
written signed sealed & delivered in presence of
