  This Indenture Made This Thirteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord 
one Thousand Eight Hundred and nine Between William Colwell of the County of 
Greene of the one part and Daniel McIntosh of the Same County of the other 
part  Witnesseth that the William Colwell for and in consideration of the Sum 
of Ten hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the Said Daniel McIntosh the 
Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Granted Bargained Sold Conveyd. 
and Delivered and by these presents doth bargain Sell and confirm unto him the 
Said McIntosh his heirs and assigns one Certain Tract or parcel of Land lying 
and being in the County aforesaid on the Beaverdam fork of Richland Creek 
Containing ninety Seven acres be the Same more or less and bounded as follows 
viz Beginning at a Post or White oak Thence N 64 E 25 Chains to a pine thence 
S 46 E 17 Chains to a hickory Thence S 31 W 15 Chains & 50 Links to a pine 
Thence W 5 Chains to a white oak Thence S 65 W 15 Chains to a hickory Thence S 
3 chains and 50 links Thence S 75 E 1 Chain & 50 links to a white oak Thence s 
18 W 17 chains to an ash Thence N 71 W 9 chains to a hickory Thence N 10 E 37 
chains to the beginning To have and To hold The Said Tract of Land with all 
and Singular its appurtenances and appendages to the Same or in any wise 
appertaining or belonging and the said William Colwell for himself and hi 
heirs doth covenant promise to warrant and forever Defend the right and title 
of the aforesaid mentioned land in fee simple unto the Said Daniel McIntosh 
and his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of him the said 
William Colwell and his heirs or any other person or persons claims by from or 
under him or any other person or persons whatsoever.
    In Witness whereof the said William Colwell hath hereunto set his hand and 
affixed his seal the day & year first above written
