ELIZABETH DUNN 
TO JAMES B. DUNN
November, 1855

State of Georgie
Greene County
This Indenture made and entered into this Seveth day of November in the year of 
our Lord Eighteen Hundred and fifty five between Elizabeth Dunn of said State & 
County of the one part & James B. Dunn of the same place of the other part, 
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the natural love and affection 
which she the said Elizabeth Dunn has and bears to her niece Ann Eliza Gantt 
now living in Macon County and State of Alabama wife of Eli Gantt and for and 
in Consideration of the sum of five dollars Cash in hand paid by said James B. 
Dunn at and before the Sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold granted and conveyed and by 
these (presents) doth bargain sell grant and convey unto the said James B. Dunn 
for the use benefit and advantage in trust for said Ann Eliza Gantt and the 
Heirs of her body free from the control or disposition of her present husband 
or any future Husband a Negro man named Jasper about twenty two years of age of 
yellow complexion five feet eight or nine inches high.

To have and to hold the above described property unto him the said James B. 
Dunn in trust for said Ann Eliza Gantt wife of said Eli Gantt and all the Heirs 
of her body as aforesaid forever in Fee Simple free from the debts liabilities 
and control her present or a future husband to their only benefit and behoof.

In Witness whereof the said Elizabeth Dunn hath hereunto set her hand and 
affixed her seal the day & year above written.
