Dunn of the one part and Wiley G. Johnson of the other part both of the County & State aforesaid, Witnesseth, that the said Hiram R. Dunn for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain & sell unto the said Wiley G. Johnson his heirs and assigns all those tracts or parcels of land described in the Deeds from Richard Irby to said Hiram R. Dunn, bearing date August 14th 1863, to which deeds reference is had for a full and complete description of said lands, and which is as follows, one tract containing Sixty nine acres more or less, beginning and running as follows. Beginning at a Red Oak corner and running North 8° 3’ East 25 chains to a Sourwood, thence South 12° West 23 ch. & 50 links to a Stump, thence North 2° E. 8 ch. 70 l. to a Rock, thence North 10° W. 25 ch. to a Rock, thence to the beginning corner. The other parcel containing Fifty five and two tenths acres, bounding as follows, beginning at a Persimmon running South 8° 10 M. E. 16 ch. 43 l. to a Stake, thence South 82° 15 M. W. 32 ch. 60 l. to a Red Oak, thence North 9° 36 M. W. 14 ch. 24 l. to a Red Oak, thence North 47° 15 M. E. 4 ch. 70 l. to a Spanish Oak thence North 82° 15 M. E. 29 ch. 40 l. to the beginning corner. To have and to hold the said tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the County & State aforesaid on the waters of Shoulderbone & Stewarts Creeks, adjoining lands of John C. Merritt, E. M. Richards, Mrs. Carroll, Wm T. Merritt & Sarah Richards. To him the said Wiley G. Johnson his heirs and assigns, together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use, benefit & behoof in fee simple. And the said Hiram R. Dunn for himself, his heirs, executors and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claims of other persons whomsoever.
