All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Bob & Linda Ellis http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00017.html#0004075 August 26, 2006, 10:22 am Written: 1821 GEORGIA GREENE COUNTY This indenture made the twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty one between Thomas Ellis & Elijah Cummings of the one part and Epophraditus Robinson of the other part all of the County & State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Thomas Ellis & Elijah Cummings for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & seventy five dollars to them in hand paid at & before the sealing & delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold & conveyed & by these present do grant bargain sell & convey unto the said Epaphroditus Robinson his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the county aforesaid on the waters of Bearverdam Creek containing fifty one acres be the same more or less courses and distance as follows . Beginning at a stake running north 80 East 20 chains to a Black oak thence North 70 East 99 chains to a post Oak thence South 10 East 16 chains to a hickory thence South 80 West 35 chains to a rock thence South 10 East 2 chains to a rock thence South 80 West 5 chains thence North 10 East 2 chains thence South 80 West 10 chains to a black oak thence to the beginning. Containing as above to have and to hold said Tract or parcel of land unto him the said Epaphroditus Robinson his heirs & assigns to gather with all & singular the rights members & appertenances there of to the same belonging to his and their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee simple and the said Thomas Ellis & Elijah Cummings for themselves their heirs executors and dministratorsa the said bargained premises unto the said Epophraditus Robinson his heirs & assigns will warrant & forever defend the right & title therof against themselves & against the claim of all other persons whatsoever in Witness whereof the said Thomas Ellis & Elijah Cummings hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day & year above written signed sealed & delivered in the presents of Joseph Riley Thomas Ellis Thomas Johnson JP & Elijah Cummings Recorded 28 March 1821 Ebeneeser Torrence Clk Transcribed by Bob & Linda Ellis Duluth Ga.
