Witnesseth that the said Geo. Hamilton & Agness his wife for and in consideration of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the sd. Radford Ellis at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained granted sold released and confirmed & by these presents doth grant bargain and release and confirm unto the sd. Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns all that tract of land containing two hundred eighty seven & half acres more or less lying and being in the county of Greene & State aforesd. butting & bounding Southwestwardly by the Oconee River including the mouth of Sandy Creek. Beginning on the river at a Black Oak & running N77 E44” 73 to a Dogwood corner, thence S13 E44” 73 to a white oak corner, thence S77 W63 to a stake adjoining Joshua Browning on the lower side. Together with all and singular the rights members & appertenances to the tract of land being belonging or in any wise appertaining & every part thereof. To have and to hold the said tract of land & all & singular the premises & appertenances as thereunto belonging as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said Radford Ellis his heirs and assigns forever. And said Geo. Hamilton & Agness Hamilton his wife and their heirs the tract of land & premises aforesaid & every part thereof unto the sd. Radford Ellis his heirs & assigns against him the said Geo. Hamilton his heirs and all & every other person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents. In Witness whereof we the said Geo. Hamilton & Agness his wife have hereunto interchangeably set our names & seals on the day & date above written.
