				Harris to Caldwell

This Indenture made the 12th  day of January 1826 Between Charles Harris of 
the one part and William Caldwell of the other part both of the County of 
Greene and State of Georgia Witnesseth that the said Charles Harris has for 
the sum of two hundred and twentyseven __/100 dollars to him in hand paid the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has bargained and sold unto the said 
Caldwell a certain Tract of  land lying in the County and State aforesaid 
containing one hundred and fifty one acres and a half bounding as follows 
Beginning at a chestnut running S 80° W 5 ch 50 L Red Oak thence S 40 E 28 ch 
50 L Hickory then N 80° E 39 ch 25 L P Oak then N 10° W 18 chs Red Oak then S 
80 W 10 ch Stake then N 10° W 9 ch 75 L P Oak then N 47° W 38 Ch 50 L to the 
beginning to have and to hold the said Tract of Land unto the Caldwell & his 
heirs forever for which the said Charles Harris does warrant & defend the 
right and Title unto the said Caldwell and his heirs forever the day & date 
above written

            Georgia}  Personally came before me Joseph Riley who being duly
Greene County   }  sworn deposeth and saith that he saw Charles Harris sign 
seal and deliver the within deed for the purposes therein mentioned and that 
he deponent subscribed the same as a witness and saw Zelah Pullin and Nancy 
Riley do so likewise
