All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002523 January 3, 2009, 12:59 pm Written: July 3, 1828 Recorded: July 7, 1828 Greene County, Georgia Deed Book JJ, pp. 484-485 Harris to Caldwell Georgia} Greene County } This Indenture made this the third day of July in the Year one thousand eight hundred and Twenty eight Between Charles Harris of the County & State aforesaid of the one part and William Caldwell of the same place of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Charles Harris for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the reipt. whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William Caldwell his heirs and assigns all that Tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county aforesaid on the waters of Shoulderbone beginning at a Hickory running S. 10 E 22.50 to a Red oak, thence N. 80 E. 24 chains to a Black Gum Thence S. 10 E 14 chains to a W. oak, Thence N. 80 E. 14 chains & 50 links to a B. oak, Thence North 10 West 36 chains to a post oak Thence South 80 West to the beginning containing one Hundred and Eight acres, more or less. To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of land unto him the said William Caldwell his heirs and assigns Together with all and Singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever – in fee simple, and the said Charles Harris for himself his Heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said William Caldwell his Heirs and assigns will warrant for forever defend the right and Title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever – In witness whereof the said Charles Harris hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day & Year above written Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of us Charles Harris Martha Harris John N.
