Curtis King for and in consideration of the Sum of Two Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid, by the sd. William Caldwell, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath bargained and Sold unto the sd. William Caldwell all that Tract or parcel of Land, lying and being in Greene county and State aforesaid on the Waters of Beaverdam of Richland Creek Beginning at a Black oak running South Ten West Fourteen chs. and twenty links to a Red oak, thence South eighty nine East Forty eight chains to a white oak thence North nine West Seventeen chains and fifteen links to a Black Gum, Thence North Seventy five East, Thirteen chains & Seventy five links to a Black Oak, from thence to the beginning with this exception that the sd. Caldwell is allowed to make a Sett off on any part of the line & crop a Branch in order to obtain Water so as it does not exceed one quarter of an acre the said Tract of land containing by estimation one Hundred and thirty four acres be the Same more or less, bounded by Houghton, Lancaster, Cartwright & M. Hargue and Murrah Lands And I the Said Curtis King do by these presents bind myself Heirs and assigns unto the sd. William Caldwell his Heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the aforesd. Trait or Parcel of land with all and Singular its rights and appurtenances from all manner of person or persons to his & their only use and behoof in right of fee simple forever. In witness whereof I have Set my hand and Seal the day and Year first above written. Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of L. D. Caldwell Curtis King Albert Jernigan Thomas G.
