Greene County}    This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of march in the 
year eighteen hundred & twenty two Between Samuel Levingston of the one part 
and William Caldwell of the other part both of the State & county aforesaid 
Witnesseth that I Samuel Levingston for & in consideration of the sum of five 
hundred dollars to me in hand paid by the sd William Caldwell the receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold & do by these presents 
Grant bargain sell & confirm unto the sd William Caldwell all that tract or 
parcel of Land lying & being in the County & State aforesaid on the waters of 
Ogeechee Beginning at a gum running south thirty west forty chains to a black 
oak thence South eighty two West twenty three chains & fifty links to a pine 
thence North thirty West three chains to a Red oak thence south eighty West 
ten chins to a stake thence north ten west forty chains to a Spanish oak 
thence north eighty East ten chains to a black from thence to the beginning 
containing by estimation one hundred ;& sixty four acres be the same more or 
less bounded by Luckie Harris & Pollards Land And I the sd Samuel Levingston 
do by these presents bind myself heirs Exrs. admrs & assigns unto the said 
William Caldwell his heirs & assigns to warrant & forever defend the aforesaid 
tract or parcel of Land with all & singular its rights and appurtenances from 
all persons or persons to his & their only use & behoof in right and of fee 
simple forever.  In Witness whereof I have set my hand & seal the day and year 
first above written
