All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sarah Baird sbaird@y7mail.com December 14, 2024, 10:56 pm Greene Written: September 25, 1811 Recorded: January 10, 1812 Greene County, Georgia, Deeds Book EE 1811 - 1815, p102 State of Georgia Green County } Indenture 25 September 1811 Francis Truitt of the county and State aforesaid of the one part and Josiah Watkins of said state and county of the other part Witnesseth that the said Francis Truitt for an [sic] in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Josiah Watkins at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell release and confirm unto the said Josiah Watkins his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing 70a. and 9/tenths lying and being on the waters of Shoulderbone bounded as follows viz: Beginning at a Mulberry corner running thence N35 [could be N85] W16 [could be W10] C 50 P to a Dogwood corner thence N5 E30 C to a pine corner thence N75 E166 75L [best guess] to a Dogwood corner thence N15 W10 C 50 Links to a Mulberry corner thence S85 E11 C 75 L to a red oak corner thence S13 W46 [possibly W4C] to the beginning, To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and all and singular the premises and appertainances [sic] thereunto belonging as afsd and every part thereof unto the said Josiah Watkins his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Josiah Watkins his heirs and assigns forever and the said Francis Truitt and ever [sic] other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the said Francis Truitt has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
