	Received of Margaret[e/t/h] C_____ [possibly “Conoft”] Four hundred & 
Seventy Dollars in full consideration for a Negro Boy about Fourteen years old 
by the name of Allen, the Title of said Negro, and also his health and 
soundness in body and mind, I hereby warrant and defend--and bind myself my 
heirs, Executer and administrators to do the same--In testimony whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seal, this 17th day of November 1848.
