The following is a list of Free Persons of Color, who have caused their names 
to be entered in my office, in conformity to law, and to whom certificates 
will issue, agreeable to an act, passed at Milledgeville, to alter and amend 
an act, supplementary to, and more effectively to enforce an act, prescribing 
the mode of mammitting slaves in this state, &t, &c. provided sufficient cause 
is not shwen to the contrary.
