Davis, Greensboro, Ga. Greensboro, Ga., December 17.--(Special.)--George C. Davis, a prominent man and farmer of Greene county, was buried here yesterday. He died from the effects of asthma, aged 75. He was educated at Mercer university and was in school there with ex-Governor Northen. In 1853 he married Miss Lizzie Evans, of Washington county. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. L.H. Bowen, of Greensboro, Ga.; Mrs. C.C. Preston, of Tyler, Tex.; Mrs. C.C. Preston, of Aiken, S.C. and seven daughters, Mrs. Luke, Augusta, Ga.; Mrs. John Moody, Maxeys, Ga.; Mrs. W.T. Thomas, Greshamville, Ga.; Mrs. W.A. Hogan, Lincoln county; Mrs. A.S. Pyron, Beazey, Ga.; Mrs. H.J. McWhorter, Greensboro, Ga., and Miss Helen Davis.
