Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Hopie Atkinson Geer

   Mrs. Hopie Atkinson Geer, 99, 105 S. Spring Street, Greensboro, Georgia 
died March 15, 1996 at Meadowbrook Manor.
   Mrs. Geer was born in Greene County on January 4, 1897 to the late Benjamin 
Burtow Atkinson and the late Birdie Evans.  She was a lifelong resident of 
Greene County.  She owned and operated Geer's Cafe until 1964.  She was a 
member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.
   Mrs. Geer is survived by a niece, Eddings A. Smith of Macon, Georgia, and a 
sister-in-law, Sibbie Atkinson of Madison, Georgia.
   Graveside services were held Saturday, March 16, 1996 at Greenview 
Cemetery, Greensboro with Reverend Ed Nelson officiating.

Daughter of Bartow Benjamin Atkinson and Birdie Littleton Evans; wife of Harry 
Hill Geer.
