Patrick RPatricksr@aol.com The Eatonton Messenger, March 5, 1926 Mr. Lucious Patrick Dies Wednesday Morning - Wednesday morning at 2:30 o'clock Mr. Lucious Patrick died at his home in Ashbank District. Mr. Patrick had been in ill health for some time and his death was expected at any time. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Messrs. Howard Patrick of Miami, FL, Clifford Patrick of the U.S. Navy, and Marvin Patrick, and two daughters, Edna and Mary Patrick, all of this county. The funeral was held at the Harmony Cemetery. Rev. Rogers, his pastor, officiating assisted by Rev. J.P. Sheffield and Rev. Warren Marshall of Macon. Eatonton Furniture and Undertaking Company in charge. **** HARMONY CHURCH DESTROYED BY FIRE - The Eationton Messager, March 5, 1926 Wednesday afternoon as the body of Mr. Lucious Patrick arrived at Harmony Church where the funeral was to be held, the undertaker, Mr. C.R. McKemie, was notified that the church was on fire, and before the fire could be put out the church burned to the ground. This was one of the oldest country churches in Putnam County. The fire originated from a broken flue. Most of the church fixtures were saved. *******************************************************************
