Patrick RPatricksr@aol.com AUGUST 1906 - GREENSBORO HERALD JOURNAL (Was possibly a orphan) Mrs. Sarah Patrick, 1820 - 1906 These two years mark the beginning and end of Mrs. Sarah Patrick's earthly career. During the eighty-six intervening years, she grew from an orphan left to fight life's battles alone, into an attractive woman, and became the life companion of Mr. Samuel Patrick. Her husband preceeded her to his reward twenty years, dying in 1886. A large family of children blessed their reunion, five of which survive her, with a large number of grandchildren and some of the fourth generation. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Patrick has resided with her youngest son, Mr. W. M. Patrick of Penfield, GA , who with his family, eagerly nursed her in her declining years and illness, which ends in her going to her reward July 30th 1906. She was patient in affliction, seemed to be only waiting for the summons, "come home". The remains were laid to rest at Shiloh, where the deceased had been a consistent and faithful member for fourty years. She will await the resurrection of those who are to appear in white robes.
