MR. HARRISON A. WATTS was born in Wilkes county, Ga., Dec. 9th, 1804, but in 1819 moved to Greene county, where he lived the rest of his life. He was a useful citizen. Having been elected to prominent positions, he filled them with ability and fidelity. He professed religion and joined the Baptist church at Bethesda, in 1828, where his membership remained as long as he lived. He was regular in his attendance at church, a liberal supporter and friend of his paster. He died of dropsy, on the 16th of April, 1872, leaving two children and a host of friends to mourn his loss.
