The Atlanta Constitution, April 24, 1875
R. Ligon McWhorter was married at Penfield to Miss Lizzie Boyd—Rev. C. H. 
Strickland officiating. Well, Lig has been a No. 1 conductor, and we trust 
that he will run a safe schedule with no “run offs” or “smash ups” to mar his 
daily trips over the track of married life, and when he reaches his last 
terminal point may he have a “through passage” to a better clime.
