Greensboro, Ga., November 16.—(Special.)—At the Baptist church, in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives, the impressive marriage of Miss Virginia Evans and Mr. Samuel Carson, of Atlanta, occurred Wednesday afternoon, November 6, at 5:30 o’clock. The wedding march was played by Miss Nellie Hall, and just before the entrance of the bridal party, “Love Me and the World Is Mine,” was beautifully sung by Mrs. Luke Johnson, of Madison. During the ceremony, “Hearts and Flowers” was softly played. The ceremoney [sic] was performed by a brother of the groom. The maid of honor was Miss Katherine Evans. Miss Emmie Ponder, of Forsyth, was the only other attendance. Immediately after the ceremony the bride and groom left for a trip to Florida, and will make their home in Atlanta. Mrs. Carson, as Miss Evans, has been one of the most popular young ladies here, and it is with genuine regret her many friends relinquish her.
