These are to authorize and permit you to join in the Honorable State of 
Matrimony John Mullins of the one part, and Julia Ann Williams of the other 
part, according to the rites of your Church, provided there be no lawful cause 
to obstruct the same; and this shal be your authority for so doing.
Given under my hand, as Clerk of the Court of the County afore said, this 1st 
day of September 1836

I do hereby certify, that John Mullins and Julia Ann Williams were joined in 
the Holy Bands of Matrimony, by me, on the 2nd of September 1836---
