In the name of God amen I John Caldwell of the County of Greene
and State of Georgia being weak in body but of perfect sound memory
do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner & form
following to wit

After paying all my just debts I leave to my well beloved wife
Charlotte during her natural life or widowhood my land and all my
property of every discription whatever after her death to my son
Richard Caldwell to him and his heirs forever

I hereby appoint my wife Charlotte to be my whole and sole Executor 

I do annul all other wills by me made and do acknowledge this to be
my last will and testament Given under my hand this 4th day of
October 1812

Georgia ) At a meeting of the Court of Ordinary for said Greene 
County ) County on 7th Jany 1813 personally appeared Dempsey
Griffin and William Caldwell the subscribing Witnesses to within Will
who being duly sworn saith that the said Will was signed in their
presence and at the request of said John Caldwell and at the same
time that he the said John Caldwell was in sound mind and memory and
that these deposants were subscribing witnesses to said Will
William Caldwell

7th Jany 1813
