This file was contributed by: Barbara Walker Winge Barbarawinge@yahoo.dom ==================================================================== 375 In the name of God Amen - I Joseph Catching of Greene County, State of Georgia being weak of body but of sound mind & memory do make this my last Will & Testament dated October the ninth one thousand eight hundred and five- I lend to my wife during her life of widowhood all the land I now hold or enjoy with all the houses outhouses therein to belonging with all the household & kitchen furniture plantation & other tools & all the live stock of whatever kind - also the negro fellow Cupid & his wife Moll - after either of the above events take place my will is that the above named property or the then remainders be divided amongst my children in equal proportions (to-wit) Rhoda, Sallie, Polly, Patsey, Joseph & John & in case of Death to the survivors to my daughter Rhoda I gave a Deed for a negro Girl named Mary. I hereby confirm that Deed to my daughter Sallie, I give my negro fellow George to my daughter Polly, my negro fellow Dave to my daughter Patsey, the negro wench Seale to my son Joseph, a negro boy Jacob & my shot Gun to my son John, a negro Abram & in the case of the death of either of the above six named children this property to be divided amongst the survivors - To Spencer Laws & Joseph Grayham married to my daughters Betsey & Nancy I give one dollar each having provided for them equal to my wishes & a -- before. It is my will & request that the above named six children be under the Guardianship care & Parental direction of their mother & that they live together in harmony till disposed of in marriage- My will is that all my just Debts may be paid as soon as may after my Decease & for which purpose I have disposed of a negro fellow - I hereby request continued on Page 376 John Towns & Wm Spencer Smith to join my wife Patsy in the carrying into effect this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former ones - As witness my hand & seal this ninth day of October 1805 G.
