My wife shall have the control of them until they marry or become of age. Second -- Each of my children is to have an equal share of my property including what each has received, those who are married to receive at the end of this year their share which shall be valued to them by my friends Samuel Skidmore, Daniel Perdue & William C. Dawson or any two of them with my Executors, and as each child arrives at age or marries, the Inferior Court if my then foregoing friends can not conveniently do it shall appoint three fit persons to value of him or her the shares of my Estate going to them under this my will; my wife always to be considered as having a child's part of my personal property, and she is to have the use and possession of the stock household & kitchen furniture, in fact, everything appertaining to the farm is to remain with her for her use and the youngest or unmarried children, if she marries the property is still to remain with her, but my Executors are to take care there should be no destruction of the property by imprudence of her or any one else; after my death an appraisement shall take place according to the Law and the inventory recorded -- I give to my son, Osbon S. Furlow one hundred & forty acres of the Clough land adjoining Colbs tract, including House & Spring -- he is to take it at valuation, as a part of his share of my Estate, all the rest of my lands save the lands lying in Greene I desire shall be sold on such terms and at such times as my Executors shall think prudent -- If my wife shall be able after supporting and educating all the children & herself to save any money from the crops & ferry my desire is that she shall convert it into property or loan it for her use & the use of the children that are under age at the time & who has not received his or her share -- all the property to remain with my wife except as before stated -- my executors shall still give attention & aid to my wife & shall be consulted in the employment of overseers if any shall be wanting. I hereby nominate & appoint Osbon S. Furlow & James T. Furlow my executors to carry this will into effect according to its spirit and true meaning. I desire them so to do.
