Will of John Parker ca 1803 Greene County, GA I, John Parker, being in a low State of health after committing myself to the care and protection of the Almighty God, and hoping his blessing to attend me, I do arrange affairs or effect thus - and do leave this my last will and Testament - In the first place I do will and bequeath to my affectionate wife Patience one negro boy named Pompey [sic], also one bay mare by the name of Rick, also one cupboard, one bed and Furniture - likewise all the plantation tools, One Bridle & side saddle, One pot and Bale, half dozen Pewter plates, One Dish, half dozen knives and Forks; two cows and calfs [sic], one steer and Heifer, four sheep, two Ewes, & two weathers [sic] - Also the plantation I now reside upon for sd wife to live upon during her life, or widowhood - To my daughter Elizabeth I do will & bequeath one negro woman by the name of Dolls, one bay horse by the name of Morgan, One Pot, a dish, a bason [sic] and three plates, and three spoons, two cows and year old calves, three head of sheep And to my daughter Mary I do will one negro girl by the name of Marys [sic], one bed, one horse by the name of Stockings, four head of cattle, three hard of sheep, one dish, a bason [sic], three spoons and three knives and forks - And to my daughter Charlotte, I do will one horse by the name of Pecolis [sic] and a colt by the name of Ball, one bed, three head Cattle, and two head of sheep, a dish, a bason [sic], three spoons, three knives and forks, and after sd wife's death the aforesaid mentioned tract of land I do will to my daughter Charlotte - And to my son John I do will two hundred and fifty acres of land more of less, Waters Dry Creek, Hancock County, also three hundred Dollars in cash - To Hezekiah Howell I do will one negro girl by the name of Nann [sic], and to Henry Bankston, one negro girl by the name of Charity. My desire is that my wife, my son, John and my son-in-law Hezekiah Howel [sic] should be Executors upon this my last will - I do will that the over plush of money belonging to the Estate, shall be divided equally between my son John, Hezekiah Howell and Henry Bankston.
