This file was contributed by: Molly McLaughlin rufuskin@bellsouth.net ==================================================================== Will Book A, page 245 Greene Co., Georgia State of Georgia, Greene County I, JAMES SANSOM of the state and county aforesaid, in a sick and low state of health, but in perfect memory and sence-do hereby make and declare this my last will and testament-hereby ratifying and confirming the same and disannulling and making void all other wills or testaments heretofore made either for me or in my name. First, I desire that all my lawful debts may be settled out of my estate and that the balance of my estate may be equally divided amongst my wife and children, viz: Polly, Frances, Nancy, Jackey, James, William and Thomas. Secondly, I direct that the division between my wife and children as above mentioned shall not be made until my youngest son Thomas Sansom is ten years old unless it shall be with the mutual consent of my wife and executors hereafter appointed and that the division or distribution shall be made by my executors in a mannner as a majority of them shall think proper to adopt, as to the disposal of my estate and the preparing it for the division-and that a majority of my executors shall have it in their powere to make a division or distribution at any time before my son Thomas is ten years old provided that they find there is a necessity for the pg. 246 family. Thirdly, it is my request that my wife and children shall live together unless circumstances may make it more convenient otherwise. I hereby appoint my wife Pattey Sansom, Executrix, together with John Lamar, Thomas Lamar and Ezekiel E. Parks executors of this my last will and testament. Proved by the two subscribing witnesses in the presence of the widow who acknowledged and approved of the same the 14th of January 1794 and registered the 15th of the same month by William Phillips, R.P.G.C. 14 January 1794 Letters testamentary were granted to the executors of the last will and testament of James Sansom, deceased and a warrant of appraisement was directed to Messrs.
