  In the name of god amen, I Joshua Miers of Greene County in the state of 
Georgia being infirm in body but sound in mind and memory- thanks to almighty 
God, for the same I do make and ordain this my last will and testament, This 
twentyfifth day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred 
and thirteen- and in the thirtyeighth year of American Independence.
   I give and beqeath my soul into the hands of the almighty God who trusting 
to and for the acceptance and pardon of my sins.
And in the firm persuasion that I shall receive the same at the general 
resurrection by the mighty power of God, my body I commend to the earth from 
whence it was taken- to be buried decently at the discretion of my named 
executrice and executor. And my worldly property where with it had pleased god 
in his goodness to bless me with- I give, bequeath and dispose of in the 
following manner-
   I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Miers all my estate both 
real and personal and after my just debts are paid, the rest of the property to 
be kept together until the youngest child is of age, for the purpose of raising 
and schooling my children and then the estate to be equally divided amongst 
them all.
   Lastly I do hereby nominate, ordain and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth 
Miers executress and Daniel Underwood, executor of this my last will and 
testament. This from my hand and seal the day and date first above written.
