He married Margaret ? and they lived in Gwinnett Co, Ga in 1850. They had several children and one named Thomas died in 1850 of typhoid. He married Charity and they had these children: John, Margaret E., Thomas R., and Preston. Both Thomas and his father are buried in Gwinnett Co, GA. They are buried at the Fairview Cemetary in Lawrenceburg, GA. Their graves are on the hill. After the death of her( Margaret ) 70 yr old husband, she moved to live with the Thomas Tumlin family of Bartow Co, GA , she died 1873. Thomas Allison born 1779 had a daughter named Margaret (Peggy), born 1809 in SC. She married Judge Robert Sinclair Foster also of Abbeville. She died in Chattooga Co, GA and is buried in the Lyerly Cemetary along with Robert S. Foster and their beloved family slave Green Foster(aka Squire Allison) She died Dec 29, 1861. Their children raised in Gwinnett & Floyd Co, GA were: Kinchen Rambo, William Green, Margaret, Matilda, John Cunningham, Thomas Allison, Moses Little, Robert Sinclair Foster. From "Gwinnett Co., GA Deaths 1818-1989": Allison, Thomas, Jr. b 1824 d 03-1850: d. of typhoid age 26, farmer, married (p. 215 1850 census) Allison, Thomas, Sr. b 06-1779 d 01-1850: farmer, Robt. FOSTER, admr. Allison, Margaret b 1782 d after 1850: w/Thomas (p. 152 1850 census) In Vol. II of "History of Gwinnett Co.", Thomas Allison, Jr. is listed on p. 48 as one of the Inferior Court Jurors for June, 1843. P. 50 lists Thomas Alison as a Juror for June 1846. Note spelling difference.
