Private William Tinney was enlisted by Capt Mattox - Co F 24th Reg Georgia
Vols. at Lawrenceville Georgia on the 16th of March 1862 to serve for the
war and died on the 9th day of August 1862 near Richmond, VA of disease.

There is due him for wages from the time of enlistment to the time of his
death being four months and 24 days at eleven dols per month.
For clothing - $25.00
For bounty - $50.00

His widow was Mary R. J. Tinney, and received $128.16 on 6th Sept 1862.
